Support Africa Family Rescue

Your support is vital to the welfare of the precious African families that we have come to know and love. We understand that you have expenses and responsibilities of your own. God’s provision is different for each of us and we all have a different capacity for giving to those in need. Whatever you can give to support these families who desperately need help would be a blessing! Below are some suggested ways you can make a huge difference in the lives of these families. You can always give to the general fund if one of these options will not work for you. Any donation is much needed and appreciated. Thank you for partnering with us in ministering to “The least of these”.

African Family Support

The families we have identified are much like the man left for dead of the famous Bible story of the Good Samaritan, and passed by many “good people”. They are flat on their backs, in the ditch, with no hope anywhere to be found. We believe, just like the Good Samaritan, to help them back on their feet, walk with them, share our money with them, and help them become self-sufficient. That is what monthly sponsoring a family of a widow or orphan will do…bring self-sufficiency! Visit our Family Sponsorship to learn more.

Motorcycle Fund

The AFR local case workers walk several miles every day to the villages to provide food, shelter, medicine, hope, etc. The money raised by this campaign is going to get the case workers in Uganda reliable transportation. We estimate a motorcycle will quadruple amount of widows and orphans the serve in a day, as well as provide a vessel to get to kids quickly when they need to go to the hospital. $4000 will buy one motorcycle and head protection locally, and will cover insurance, licensing and gas for a year.

Prayer

The World Bank says that poverty is defined as an individual making less than $1 a day. 1 billion children live in poverty. 640 million live without adequate shelter, 400 million have no access to safe water, 270 million have no access to health services. In 2003 alone 29,000 children died per day because of lack of food and adequate healthcare.  AFR is highly needed in Uganda and there is no time to lose.

Pray for God to bless Africa Family Rescue and for people to give generously to those who are dying without hope.

Pray for the two communities; Mukono and Wakiso that God would begin and complete a transforming work in them.

Pray for the two partners; Nazareth Community Church and Kisembi Church of Christ that God would give them the ability to continue serving Him tirelessly in areas that are highly hostile to the gospel as well as areas of intense morbidity rates.

Pray for the staff of Africa Family Rescue in the United States and Uganda that God would encourage them and give them extra grace to continue fighting for the poor.
