Restore Hope

Please visit our campaign page for more information:…

6 months ago, Hope Pahlow was in a car accident that left her with a traumatic brain injury. She has had to relearn everything: reading, walking, talking, feeling. She deals with physical pain from her injuries and psychological pain from the accident. Throughout it all, Hope has held on to a smile on her face, a refusal to give up, and a new “homesickness.”

Growing up, Hope frequently visited Rwanda and Uganda with her family organization, Africa Family Rescue, and she considers Africa home as much as her home in the US.

As Hope puts it, “[My injury] really altered how I think, feel, and act. A few things in my life changed, but my love for the people in Uganda not only stayed in my heart, but dramatically increased.”

Now, Hope insists on not only recovering from her injuries but on doing so much more. She wants to return to her second home in Africa with her parents Ben and Melody to:

* coordinate the use of necessary supplies and funding for two village schools
* build a house for a Daniel, a man with blindness and HIV, to jumpstart his rise from poverty
* evaluate and select new families for micro-finance sponsorships through Africa Family Rescue

They are hoping to leave June 10, 2015 for a two week trip.

With all the recent medical bills, Hope can’t do this alone. She needs your help restoring hope in the lives of the people of Uganda. The total trip cost is $14,000 and includes:

* Airfare: $4,400
* Lodging: $1,400
* Food: $1,300
* Transportation (4X4 truck rental): $1,300
* Daniel’s New Home: $4,000
* Village School Needs: $1600

Your gifts not only supports a woman with an unwavering will but also changes the lives of people around the globe. Please invest in this restoration with a donation of any amount. Share Hope’s story with your friends and family. Together, let’s restore hope!
